1 minute stories

I been travelling for the past 4 days all across the boarder of China, and here are some short stories about my travels, and they are 1 min to read, so they are called “1 min stories”.

Dad’s Fight: Apparently my dad is really grouchy in the morning when he doesn’t eat. We were moving luggages onto the bus at 8:00 in the morning and then the person working there dropped a bag on his foot. So my dad went all crazy, and started speaking ill about the other guy’s mother. And for the first time in my life, I actually helped not to start a fight but to break up a fight. No one was harmed, no punches were thrown (yet), and i went back to sleeping on the bus.

Afghanistan? : One of my mother’s high school friends works at the boarder between china and Afghanistan, the Wakhjir Pass. So I got to visit there and see Afghanistan for the first time, I didn’t see any US troops, just mountains. But I could hear sounds that reminds me of explosives over the boarder. Also saw herion for the first time in a long time, and lots of Ak47s. Those are the two most popular items for smuggling. Moral of the story? Stay in touch with your high school friends, they might let you visit the boarder some day 🙂

Riding Again: Most people do not know, but I love to ride horses. But its been around a yr since I last rode a horse. So because we are in the middle of nowhere, I decided to find a horse and just roam the emptiness that is all around me. Rode about 40km/hr for about 3-4 hours, I think i just lost all feel of my buttocks after that. It felt very free to be able to accelerate without stopping, sadly we cannot do that with our cars. 😦

Thanks for reading, sorry I can’t post very often. Only have interent every couple of days, really makes me appreciate the good old days in America, where I can just pull out my iphone and just bam, everything is there.

I am currenlty in the city of Tacheng on the boarder with Kazakhstan, basically in the middle of nowhere, so google map stalk me if gots the time.
